I first met Charlie when my late husband introduced us. My husband worked for John Deere and that was their common interest. I can honestly say Charlie was one of the most soft spoken, kind people I've ever had the privilege of knowing. The world was a much better place with him in it. I send my most sincere condolences to his family. I am sure he will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.

For Kevin, So sorry for your loss but your father had a long and interesting life of accomplishment. When I think of years past, I remember you working at Waldorf's and what a great young person you were. My thoughts are with you.

Your Dad was a mechanic genius! I had a 1960 Ford Anglia back in the early 70's. That car needed a lot of TLC & Charlie was up for the challenge! Metric & all. I have many fond memories of your Dad. Kevin, you worked in my Dad's store.

Some of my best Barbershop years were spent singing with this man! He, Koeth Butler, Dan Reppert and I traveled many a mile together, singing for groups all over NY state. Charlie knew every Masonic Hall and courthouse there was...... In all those years together as a quartet, I don't believe we EVER had a cross word between us. Dan and I are the only survivors of the original MDR quartet, but the fun we had could fill several volumes. You'll be missed my friend, but are in a better place today, for sure.
