|MARIAN “LUCILLE” SILSBEE
BATH - Marion “Lucille” Silsbee, formerly of Bath, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 04, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Utica, NY. She was born in Thackerville, OK on October 29, 1928 and shortly thereafter moved to the Gainesville, TX area.
She was a talented seamstress who made custom drapes and custom slip covers for the W.T. Grant Company and JC Penney. Immediately prior to her retirement, she worked as a merchandiser for the American Greetings Company.
Lucille married Donald Alanson Silsbee on January 22, 1946 and they celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary shortly before his passing in 2010. She was predeceased by her parents, (Mattie Anderson McIntosh and Frank McIntosh), her brother, Willie (Bill), and her two sisters, (Margie Levortie and Josephine Marie).
Lucille is survived by her children: Dr. Donna Silsbee of Whitesboro, NY; Douglas Silsbee (Judith) of Bath; Keith Silsbee of Trempealeau, WI; and Pamela Silsbee Bisikirski (John) of Suwanee, GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Tara Silsbee Muller (Collin) of Bath; Nathan Silsbee of Bath; Scarlett Bisikirski of Suwanee, GA; and Benjamin Bisikirski of Suwanee, GA as well as her sister-in-law Carol Silsbee Andrews (Craig) of Gainesville, VA; many nieces and nephews; and her special friend Virginia Crane of Bath.

Calling hours are 4 – 6 p.m., Sunday, at the Avoca Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Avoca., where a funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday. Interment will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Hammondsport.
