Timothy Coleman

Devoted and true, leaving so quietly was not like you. Outspoken and loud your voice was to be heard, it saddens us all that there is no more word.

On July 5th 2016, Timothy Coleman passed away in his sleep. He was an amazingly whole hearted man that was loved by all. Many referred to him as “Florida” or “Teem”, but beyond the many pseudonyms he was famous for his Southern Charm. Tim loved all people, but most important to him was his family. Family was a word that embraced so many, related or not, and this is why his impact was so strong.

He has left behind family, friends, and a son. Tim’s first journey started in Gainsville, Florida, where he was born on July 26, 1979. From there he travelled the country working in various states. Nearly a decade ago Tim relocated to the Hornell, NY area. Over these years, Tim accomplished many things, making friends with all he acquainted with. In his most successful years Tim started a business sharing his many skills and talents in the construction and electrical fields. He had a passion for the earth through hunting and fishing, always finding beauty in nature’s presence. Tim had pride in his son, Timothy Coleman Jr. age seven, who he greatly adored. He leaves behind his best friend and father, Billy Brack Coleman; his mother, Inez Elliott Norris; and siblings Michael Coleman, Monique (Derrick) Boyington, Lauren Coleman, Trey Coleman, Samantha Norris, grandparents Edna Morgan and Viola Coleman. Tim is predeceased by his sister Brianna, and Grandfathers Billy Coleman and Billy Elliott.

Tim leaves many saddened, in his local family, Erin Rose, his soul mate and true love, her son and his friend “Fred” Carson Pollizi, and the entire Rose, Volonts, and Harris families. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

The Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St., Hornell is honored to serve the family of Timothy Coleman.

A formal service will be held in Florida and a celebration of his life, in Hornell later in July.
