HORNELL-Marilyn G. Price, 88, formerly of The Circle, passed away Wednesday morning (May 29, 2013) at the Aaron Manor Nursing Home in Fairport, where she has resided for the past two years.

Born in Hornell on Oct. 6, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Merle and Edna Smith Greene. On May 5, 1945, she was married in Hornell to George R. Price, Jr., who predeceased her on May 16, 2003 after 58 years of marriage.

A resident of Hornell for most of her life, Marilyn has resided in the Fairport area for the past several years.

She was a graduate of Hornell High School, class of 1942 and was employed by Alfred Skillicorn, CPA in Hornell and later for the Hornell City School District for several years before her retirement.

While residing in Hornell she was a member of the United Methodist Church for many years where she was a member of the choir and the Women's Society of Christian Service (WSCS); presently she was a member of the Perinton United Presbyterian Church. Marilyn was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Hornell as well as the Hornell Fortnightly Club and Garden Club and the Wambold-Avery Memorial Bell Choir. She also enjoyed doing ceramics and attending musical theater and concerts.

Her family includes her three children, Stephen (Sharlene) Price of Fayetteville, Ga, Janice (John) Mosher of Newark Valley and Nancy Price (Chris Yule) of Penfield; her three grandchildren, Laura, Christa and Erica Mosher; her three step-grandchildren, Heather (Chris) Ryan, Deanna (Chris) Ross and Daniel (Julie) Clow; her four great-grandchildren, Michael, Brandon, Kevin and Kyle Mosher; her three step-great-grandchildren, Christopher and Jackson Ross and Norah Ryan; her sister-in-law, Mary Jane Price of Hornell and her brother-in-law, John (Joanne) Price of Peabody, Mass.

Calling hours are from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St., Hornell, where a funeral and committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Steven Becker, Pastor of the Perinton United Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in Rural Cemetery, Hornell.
