AVOCA-William L. Allen, 76, of Bauter Road, passed away early Thursday morning (Dec. 19, 2019) at the Vincent House in Wayland.
Born in Wayland on May 23, 1943, he was a son of the late William and Alice (Curtis) Allen. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his son, Christopher on Jan. 10, 2017 and three siblings, Ron, Paula and Janine.
A graduate of Hammondsport Central School, Bill was employed as a technician/electrician for IBM traveling all over the United States, he later was employed with Ingersoll-Rand in Painted Post.
He was a member of the Bath American Legion Post and enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing and he especially loved to play cards.
His loving family includes his wife, Pam; a son, Mike (Stacey) Allen; one grandson, Callum Michael Allen; his brothers and sisters, Gary, Barbara, Dick, Kim, Trudy and Mary; also his nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives.
The Avoca Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Avoca is honored to serve the family of William L. Allen.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
