|Eric A. Buisch
ARKPORT-Eric A. Buisch, 50, of Bishopville Road (Town of Hornellsville), passed away unexpectedly Monday (Oct. 1, 2018).
Born in Hornell on Nov. 11, 1967, he was the son of Adrian Buisch, who predeceased him and Rosalie (Libordi) Tobin who survives.
A life long resident of the Hornell area, Eric was a graduate of Hornell High School, class of 1985. He also graduated from Corning Community College and received his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Elmira College in 1993.
He was previously employed as a Service Coordinator of Steuben Arc in Bath and was presently employed as the Community Relations Coordinator at Elderwood at Hornell; he also served as a Hornellsville Town Justice.
Eric was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Canaseraga and was involved with the Boy Scouts with his son Evan. He was also very passionate about cars and was an active member of the Sporty Car Club. Eric was a huge fan of Watkins Glen International, Bruce Springsteen, the Buffalo Bills, the Buffalo Sabres and the NY Yankees.
He enjoyed spending time with his family cruising in his Mustang GT, traveling (especially to the Outer Banks), camping, snow shoeing and watching his children participate in athletics. Eric will be remembered as being a very sociable person who loved to talk to people and share with them his witty personality.
His loving family includes his wife of 21 years the former Laura Johnson, who he married at St. Mary’s Church in Bath on Oct. 11, 1997; his daughter, Elizabeth Buisch and his son, Evan Buisch both at home; his mother and step-father, Rosalie and John Tobin of Hornell; his three brothers, Mark (Kelly) Buisch of Hornell, Geoffrey Buisch of the State of Washington and Adrian (Kristin) Buisch of Rochester; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Allan and Maureen Johnson of Bath; as well as his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours are 4-7 p.m. Friday (Oct. 5, 2018) at the Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St., Hornell. Relatives and friends are invited to join his family at St. Ann’s Church in Hornell where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in his memory at 10 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 6, 2018).
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in his memory to the Hornell Area Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Park Road, Hornell, N.Y. 14843 (envelopes will be available at the funeral home) or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
