NORTH HORNELL-After earning her wings on earth, Casie Ann Kramer joined the angels in heaven on Thursday morning (Aug. 30, 2018). For her entire life Casie lived on Cleveland Avenue and after a very brief illness, she passed away at home, embraced in her mother’s loving arms, at the age of 45.
Casie was born to her parents, Cheryl and David Kramer at the former Bethesda Community Hospital in North Hornell on Jan. 17, 1973.
She attended special education through GST BOCES in Hornell and also attended the Dogwood Day Treatment Center in Dansville for the past 24 years.
Casie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching television, listening to music and most importantly, being able to live in her own home with her mother, surrounded by the people and things that brought her joy for her whole life. Her laughter and squeal of joyful delight will forever be remembered.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfathers, Kenneth S. Roof and Dr. Paul Wolfgruber; her paternal grandparents, James and Dorothy Kramer and her uncle, Kenneth F. Roof.
Casie is survived by her devoted mother, Cheryl Kramer; her father, David (Martha) Kramer of Rochester; her maternal grandmother, Jeanne Wolfgruber; her dear aunts, Jeanne Charles, Terri (David) Wuest, Diane Ellis and Sandra Roof (Charles Koch); also, her uncle, James (Sandra) Kramer. Casie will be missed by her loving cousins, Kenneth and Daniel Wuest; as well as Morgan, Cameron and Kendall Ellis.
Her family wishes to give thanks to the Arc of Steuben for the support services they have provided. Also, a special thank you to Casie’s special caregivers, Joanie Kramer and Sue Dailey.
The Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc. in Hornell is honored to serve the family of Casie Ann Kramer.
Calling hours are 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 4, 2018) at the Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St., Hornell, where a funeral and committal service will be held following callings hours at 1 p.m. Tuesday with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating. Interment will follow at Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in her memory to Arc of Steuben, 1 Arc Way, Bath, N.Y. 14810 (envelopes will be available at the funeral home) or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
