|JOHN B. DAVIDSON
SALEM, S.C.-John B. Davidson, 91, of Salem, S.C., passed away Sunday evening (June 3, 2018) at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, S.C. He was the husband of the late Donna (Kilbury) Davidson, who was formerly of Arkport.
Born in Chicago, Ill on June 23, 1926, he was the son of the late Uddo M. and Anna Ingeborg Porat Davidson. On June 15, 1968 he was married in Montecito, Calif. to the former Donna Kilbury, who predeceased him on April 2, 2018, after 50 years of marriage.
A graduate of North Park Academy and Junior College in Chicago, John was also a graduate of Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisc. He proudly served his country with the U. S Navy from 1944 to his honorable discharge in 1946.
He was a member of the American Legion, the Lions Club, the Masons, the Shriner and the Friends of Animal Rescue Fund all in Salem, S.C.
His loving family includes his daughter, Camilla (Joe) Shearin of Dallas, Tex.; his son, Brig (Sonya) Davidson, also of Dallas, Tex., as well as seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St. in Hornell is honored to assist the family of John B. Davidson.
To honor his wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Interment was in the Fremont Cemetery, Stephens Mills.
