Anthony S. “Chuck” Libordi
CORNING, Calif./HORNELL-Anthony S. “Chuck” Libordi, 92, formerly of Hornell, passed away Tuesday morning (Feb. 20, 2018) at his home in Corning, Calif. Born in Hornell on May 29, 1925, he was a son of the late Sebastian and Rose (Grillo) Libordi. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his two sisters, Frances Libordi and Angeline Bertuzzi; and his brother, Frank Libordi. Chuck was a resident of California for most of his life where he was employed as an electrical engineer. He enjoyed many aspects of life and will be remembered for being a “free spirit” who had a fantasy for life at sea. His passions in life were family, art and adventure; he was a true inspiration to many. His loving family includes his four children, Joseph Libordi, Charlie Libordi, Wendy (Allan) Cravalho and Molly Freeman all of California; also, several grandchildren; his sister, Rosalie (John) Tobin of Hornell; his brother, Joseph Libordi of Canisteo; his sister-in-law, Lena Libordi of Hornell; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. The Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St. in Hornell is honored to assist the family of Anthony “Chuck” Libordi. A private graveside service will be held at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Hornell at the convenience of the family. Those wishing may have Masses offered in his memory. |
