Raymond served as Post Commander of VFW Post #5540 in Phoenix, N.Y. and was a member of its Honor Guard. He loved the NY Yankees, Lost Valley Farm, the Country Kitchen Restaurant in Hornell and will be remembered, among other things, for his one-liners (“If you don’t think I’m leaving, count the days I’m gone!”).
