|Fred P. Woodworth
ARKPORT-Fred P. Woodworth, 72, of State Route 36, passed away early Saturday morning (Sept. 2, 2017) after a long illness.
Born in Hornell on Aug. 9, 1945, he was a son of the late Fred E. and Angeline (Morey) Woodworth.
A graduate of Hornell High School, class of 1963, Fred resided in Hornell before becoming a resident of Arkport about 40 years ago.
Before his retirement he was employed for many years at Stern & Stern Textiles in Hornell.
Fred was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, play golf and will especially be remembered for being an excellent gardener.
His loving family includes his wife, Mary (Micglire) Woodworth; his daughter, Trish (David) Goodwin of Arkport; his two sons, Fred Woodworth, Jr. of Watkins Glen and Steve Woodworth of Arkport; his grandson, who he adored, Matthew Goodwin of Spencerport; his “special” brother, Robert (Liz) Harding of Greenwood; his sister, Karen (Alan) Wightman of Texas; his two brothers, Daniel (Betty) Morey of Hornell and Larry (Connie) Woodworth; also, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to express that heartfelt appreciation to his special caregiver, “Sammi.”
The Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St. in Hornell is honored to serve the family of Fred P. Woodworth.
To honor his wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
