DONALD “FRED” STRYKER

AVOCA-Donald “Fred” Stryker, 77, of Avoca, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. Fred held a deep Christian faith and was fiercely loyal to those he loved.
He was a life time member of the NRA and was a staunch defender of the 2nd. ammendment. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time in his garden. He was a long time resident of Avoca and will be greatly missed.
Fred was born on November 13, 1937 and was predeceased by his father, Harlow Stryker; mother Delores (Bates) Stryker; his five sisters, Ann, Jane, Virginia, Rena Mae, Doris and Sally and his brother, Doug.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Dowdle) Stryker; his four daughters, Deborah Stryker of Naples, N.Y., Dawn (Mark) Towner of Avoca, Christina Stryker (John Kulp) of Belmont and Jeannine (John) Emerson of Washington. He also has several grandchildren and great-grandchildren that were all very special to him; his two sisters, Deanna (Vince) Chapman of Corning and Arlene Stryker of Bath; his three brothers, David (Janice) Stryker of Arkport, Harlow Stryker of Bath and Dan (Andrea) Stryker of Prattsburgh.
The Avoca Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Donald “Fred” Stryker.
There will be no calling hours or services as per his wishes.
